I solved my own issue... For all (and me) to read later: In the user roles session options there is an option "Remove Browser Session Cookie". If this is enabled, the browser session will end after you started Network Connect. Default is "disabled". Regards, Mathias

Hi! When logging on to the user portal, I'm gettingt he following message with the Network Connect Bookmark: Note that launching Network Connect will terminate your browser session because of the security policy specified by your administrator. When starting Network Connect from the web browser, it really logs out of the browser session. Which setting is responsible for this. I did not have this restriction before and tried reverting all changes concerning NC (at least all the I remember). Using 8.0R7.1 Does anyone have an idea? Regards, Mathias

Debugging the forms during logon directly, I came up with the following: Label Name Value --------------------------------------------------------- LoginType LoginType Explicit User user <NTUSER> Password password <PASSWORD> Domain domain <NTDOMAIN> submitMode submitMode submit slLanguage slLanguage en State state LOGIN In addition, all the fields should be set to "Not Modifiable", of course. One Question and its background: Will there be major differnces between iOS5 VPN components and iOS6? With iOS6 coming soon, one should prepare its environment: Which "Junos Pulse for iOS" will be available for iOS6 and will it be different from the version for iOS5? Will it require a certain SA firmware version? And will it be sufficient to check the SA configuration with a iOS5 device or must I also use one with iOS6? Regrads, Mathias

We separated Win- and AV-HostChecker Policy. The AV-HC-Policy is divided into several rules, but those are mainly used to group the AV-Clients from the different vendors, so this serves mainly an organizational purpose. We select single products, not Vendors, so we can be sure that a halfway actual Virus scanner is used. I someone uses a virus scanner that we did not pick yet, we add it most of the time. Exceptions are outdated Scanners and those not supported by the IVE. We allow a grace period of up to 3 updates, depending on how often a vendor publishes AV-Patterns. We do not use the X days option anymore.

We're using Host Checker to assure that the clients (mostly from suppliers that do remote maintenance on production machines) are equipped with a virus scanner nd also have the latest Virus signatures and Windows Service Packs installed before Network Access is allowed. We had no luck with the ckeck for individual Windows Patches (6.2R4, ESAP 1.4.7), Windows clients for which the chosen Patches were not applicable (due to another Windows Version), had also been blocked.

Also, some actual Anti-Virus products are not supported. Another example would be F-Secure Anti-Virus 2009. It's not called security, when one has to tell the partner "use an anti-virus-suite that is at least one to two years old"...

Insteadt of */admin you can use [IP of internal Interface]/admin as thje Sign-In URL. If you're using the IVE in a cluster, you then have to create an individual Sign-In URL for every Node IP and the Cluster IP also.
