We have configured the SA6000 to maintain client proxy settings. On Macosx the system proxy settings are to use a PAC file. However when the user establishes a VPN connection and the JNC network interface is established, Safari does not utilize the proxy settings. Linux and Windows do not exhibit this problem. Is it because the network preferences for proxies are set on certain networks such as airport and ethernet, and the jnc network interface is not recognized thus the proxy setting is not enforced? ... I can login fine to our SA6000. The browser shows that "Applet SecureHCLauncher inited". The session tracing log shows as the last event being " Starting Host Checker installation as required". I have 2 questions. 1) The first is launching NC on RHEL5. I have installed the ncui-6.4R2 rpm on my RHEL5 laptop. To launch I assume I should run at the shell commandline /usr/local/nc/ncsvc. But when I do nothing happens. What did I do wrong? Another 2) I would like to use firefox on Mac 10.5 to launch JSAM. I have the latest JRE and javapluggin but when I attempt to launch JSAM a window pops up indicating that my browser does not support Cocoa followed by another popup that indicates Safari is the only supported browser.
