I had been assuming that the new Concurrency Module was taking over the SBR Service Level Manager. SBR SLM can limit concurrent connections based on realms in a proxy point, but It seems the Concurrency Module only control concurrent connections at the final authentication. Correct?

Good idea. But there is an issue. Actually, this case, the concurrency is applied in a proxy server. For example, a carrier limits concurrency on per ISP. The issue is that an unnecessary attribute, which contains a realm name, is forwarded to backend ISP, if an attribute is added for tracking the concurrency. I think it would ever be tolerated in all carriers. I tested your methodology; there is no configuration to delete added attributes when authentication and accounting requests is forwarded. If there is another methodology, Please let me know.

Hi I would like to know how limit the number of active connections on a per-realm by using the optional Concurrency module. When I read the Release Notes of SBR-Carrier v7.2,It seemed we can do it, but I was looking thru the User Manual as well and there's no specific mention about how concurrency based on realm is supported.The manual only describe concurrency based on attributes. Does anyone know the methodology?

You have to buy OAC enterprise license for connecting to non Juniper RADIUS server. Nobody prevents to use OAC UAC edition for a non-UAC network . you just need to replace the licence in the OAC client for a non-UAC network

The SBR can connecte the novel eDirectory by LDAP connection. Is The novell's dsfw same as eDirectory? or Is the novell's dsfw mulate the Domain service?

You can use LCI (LDAP configuration interface) option. You can add, replace, delete all configurations without GUI.

Did your server join a domain ? If your server has already joined a domain, you need to make sure whether you activated Windows Domain User or Windows Domain Group in Oder of Methods by Radius GUI and you added Domain Users group or appropriate users. If Authenticaion still failed , You need to check the debug log. Radius.ini LogLevel =2 TraceLevel = 1

You can't use PEAP(EAP-MS-CHAP-V2) against LDAP server, because MS-CHAP-V2 send hashed password by using MD4, LDAP connection (Bind) needs a clear text password. IC can't convert a password from MD4 to clear text, the authentication fail. If you need to use LDAP connection, you need to use PEAP(EAP-GenericTokenCard, EAP-JUAC) or TTLS(PAP, EAP-JUAC, EAP-GenericTokenCard). If you need to use PEAP(EAP-MS-CHAP-V2),you need to select the Active Directory /Windows NT in Authentication Servers panel.
