I can now replicate the issue. It seems to happen when the language (iOS setting) is set to Italiano. If you see the issue in another language, please let us know.   Our developers are working on a solution for this now.   As for a temporary work around you can do the following:   Uninstall Junos Pulse. I have been unable to replicate the issue so far on iOS 4.3 and 4.2.1.    Have you tried to "reset all settings" to see if this resolves the issue? It could be due to an update to the OS. What I would try is testing this with a vanilla install of XP (I use vmware for this) in order to see if this works before updating the OS. 6.3 was tested by our QA department with only the OSes/service packs that are listed in the 6.3 supported platforms document.    If you'd like more analysis you could also open a JTAC case. JTAC can look into the issue further, but engineering would not be able to create a fix for the unsupported code. I don't recall hearing about this issue in 6.3r3. Hi,   I tried those sites with the standard re-writer and also PTP, neither worked properly. I did see that we had fixed some issues on GWT in earlier versions. The newer versions that you and I tested already have these fixes so at this point it would be best to get a JTAC ticket started.   For the time being you can try using WSAM/JSAM or NC as a work around if needed. ... marciton, rswinter,   It seems that the User-Agent string that is displayed on the IVE admin console is different than what is being sent over the wire. This is why I believe your browser restriction checks were failing. I confirmed this by comparing a SSLDump to what is seen on the admin page. There is actually a second space after JunosPulseiPhone that isn't being displayed on the admin pages..   To find out exactly what the User-Agent string is you will need to do the following: Navigate to: Maintenance --> troubleshooting --> tools --> TCPDump   Next choose the external interface and then click "Start sniffing" and then have your iOS client log in. Click stop sniffing right away, and then when it loads the next page up on the IVE you will have an option to download the TCPDump. Where it says "Get" change the drop down from raw to SSLDump. This will open up the SSLDump in your browser. Search this log for the string "iPhone" and you should be able to quickly locate the User-Agent string. ... View more

Hi dankieta,   Make sure to have session roaming enabled for the role that your iOS users are on.  This can be changed under Users --> User Roles --> <Role name> --> Session Options --> Enable roaming sessions.    This should help allow the users to log in successfully. There is a time out issue that might be seen on log out. This is currently being worked on by our developers and we expect to have a fix for it soon. The session is properly ended on the server side (IVE) but it is not properly closing out on the UI side of the iOS device.  ... View more

Along with the IVE configurations given above, You can also try to extend the idle time out on the SSH client. It could be disconnecting because you do not have the keepalive setting enabled (this activity will keep the connection from timing out).   In Putty this is found under "Connection --> seconds between keepalives (0 to turn off)" set this to something around 45 seconds if you are being disconnected after 60 seconds. If you backup and then delete all logs (access, admin, event), it can help speed up the process sometimes.    I haven't heard of the issue of the newer release failing to upgrade the older rev.
