More info: It appears to happen when connecting to Win2003r2 and Win2008 servers. I'm not sure why, but its possible that its only been happening since the December MS patch cycle. I'm not sure what to check next because mstsc.exe and rdpclip.exe are both dated 2007/2008, but I'm not sure what else they rely on.
