I successfully connected to university vpn by using lubuntu 16.10 and I noticed that the content of /etc/ resolv.conf is actually different before and during the vpn session. This error seems to be the key issue sysdeps.error rename /etc/jnpr-nc-resolv.conf => /etc/resolv.conf failed wirh error 2 (sysdeps.cpp:978) jnpr-nc-resolv.conf does not exists in Fedora and there is no dns available for vpn connection.
