BlackBerry uses their own BES server for the encryped communication to/from the device, which means that 3rd party VPN clients aren't really needed on those devices. While this has its benefits with e-mail, it does limit what application developers might decide to offer on the BlackBerry. And if there are no business apps that require layer 3 VPN service (e.g. streaming clinical data), then the value and demand of having a VPN is pretty low. The bottom line is that the BlackBerry model is just very tighly controlled by RIM and not open to 3rd party VPN applications or apps that would require them. If their options should ever change, then we will certainly consider such support a priority. At least for now, we are offering as many BlackBerry features as we possibly can via the Junos Pulse Mobile Security Suite. Regards, Kevin Peterson Sr. Product Manager
