Yes. It is Not the Clint but my AD is 2008 r2...... Would it work well with clients using odesy client.... How can I install agents ......? Plus does Clint need to do something to make it work for them ? I am using kaspersky av 2011 would it be fine ? Can it work in sandbox? Does the agent be updating itself later ? Ever!

I got it but still 2 more questions for calrification on ur reply : 1> if i can only use odessy does it SUPPORT and FULLY compatible with WINDOWS 2008 R2 , i have IC 4500 4.1 R3 with cluster setup ? 2> if i am using L3 enforcement does this setup would be fine and work well with the point number 1 above ! plase do reply. waitin.

Hi ALL, As i said in the title , my setup with clientless is working fine :smileyindifferent :) with AD 2008 R2 , but user has to type each time he logs in to windows and opens up the internet explorer or firefox . My management wants single-sign-on, I want to go for junos pulse client ... i have folllwoing questions : 1> For single-sign-on i am running windows 2008 R2 and what should be the client ? can junos pulse will work ? 2> once the user-signs in , automatically the resources and other stuff would be decided ? 3> Is there any extra-settings to be done, or i just need to select agent and download to client ? 4> how can i do automatic download to each client PC so that i do not have to push using USB the client Junos pulse software ? note : My solution is working and based on L3 enforcement via ISG to IC Cluster via captive portal setting. My ISG is running 6.x and UAC is running 4.1R3 release! regards, waiting.........for Xpert replies!

I have 2009.1 ...installed.. .to upgrade to 2010.0 , do i need to do the following in steps , please confirm : 1> 2009.1 patches ( all patches in the list or only last patch number would cover commulative for all previous ones ) 2> 2009.2.iso download 3> 2009.2 patches (___________all patches in the list or only the last patch , is it cummulative ????? 4> 2010.0 iso download ? KB : 12722 talks about the file to check in c drive , well what is the way to check registry value through IC host checker. my client prefers to use JUNOS Pulse client ? would it work with it or not ? Also now JunOS Pulse - > does it support single sign on like OAC , with windows 2008 AD ? Coz' i am using IC 4500 with versino 4.0 and in AD section it shows me 2008 domain controller check-box ! ? do reply !

Dears, I am new to Juniper arena....well, i have a couple of questions and i read the thread also. 1> Is it mandatory to use OAC or i can use JunOS Pulse for the 802.1x without any issue. I heard it will support only EAP-TTLS but that is no issue as long as it works ? please confirm ? 2> How to make sure that clients junospulse is started in background once the users login with theri windows AD 2008 login credentials ? please confirm... I get you now. ...so are my following conclusions correct, please endorse with reply to them !!!! 1> 802.1x can be done with junos pulse client with no issues as long as i use eap-ttls ! 2> 802.1x will need radius client configuration on switches and radius to configure on IC 4500 cluster IP ! 3> For 802.1x i can put full access to all real vlans (access vlans) and create only 1 vlan for quaratine/remediation ! 4> i have a single site setup with cisco switches, and i only want to ensure that users should not be allowed to use internet if they are not authenticated on 802.1x ports with their proper USER CREDENTIALS ! "Well, is end-point security setting mandatory, or only authenticatino with 802.1x can work as well " 5> I HAVE no IP Phones or PoE devices, but to bypass 802.1x can i excempt the PRINTERS on ports , or simply not configure those ports with 802.1.x what is ur advice ? waiting anxiously for reply to my queries. truly, Kamran.

I have a LAN comprised of 10 vlans , from vlan 100 to vlan 110 . my full lan network is on cisco layer 2 switches trunked to 2 cisco 6500 core switches. i have successfully installed in cluster mode 2 IC 4500 boxes and from user vlans i can ping them and vice versa . My scenario is that i want to make sure that all users (they are getting ip from dhcp by default) , must do 802.1.x authentication on ports and only upon success are permitted to go to internet . My LAN is not very big or complex. ! Also i have some below queries : 1. The kb uses odesey client, can I use junos pulse or a clientless setup for windows users. Most of them are using windows 7 and windows xp ? 2. I have ten vlans working in my bldg. From Vlan 100 to Vlan 110 and I want Vlan 999 to be my quarantine or authfail Vlan. Would it work fine if I have cisco switches at users and my ic is licensed and located in another Vlan connected thru internal port only? 3. Would this dot1x solution of kb mentioned in thread would let ad integration and also run jumps pulse client as single sign on automatically ? A juniper enthusiast !!!! awaiting reply... Kamran.

well it was not password issue, it was the case of permitted IP issue which were allowed to ssh the isg device ;) thanks got it resolved !

I have to configure isg ask infra net enforce and uac infra net 4500 are both connecting on same subnet and pingable also but when I execute then command on isg by doing ssh to it I get the output connected/closed when I do the get infranet controller command ..... I even saw kb11119 but no luck, any advice ."......?
