One more option is to have a OS Hostchecker policy that allows only Android version 1.6 and lower. that will effectively rule out any Android device from connecting ever.

You can try blocking specific User Agents in the Role options - Users -> User Roles -> General -> Restrictions -> Browser A list of Browser Agent types for Android can be found at the following locations - https://developer.chrome.com/multidevice/user-agent http://www.useragentstring.com/pages/Mobile%20Browserlist/ This is more of a workaround, as some browsers do allow users to change the UserAgent, thereby bypassing this check, but it should catch most users.

Try using the <USERNAME> variable. I believe thgis variable is just the plain username as entered on the VPN login page.

What OS are you using and version of Junos Pulse are you trying to install ? For Windows 7 and above, use Junos Pulse 5.0.3. the older versions feature and older NDIS driver and wont install correctly.

I have already opened up a case on this topic. It seems like a general issue with Pulse on Mac OS. Even if we switch to just plain username / password authentication, the Pulse client does not seem to want to transfer the session back from a browser instance. For example, on switching just just plain AD authentication, if a user logs into the web page, and then hits Start for Junos Pulse, the Pulse client launches, but then does not create a Pulse session. The user is forced to click the Connect button, against the corresponding Pulse entry to get the session to start.

We are using IVE OS 8.0R5 with Pulse 5.0.5 I'll look into the Pulse logs for info on matching connections. How did you fix the "No Matching Connection" issue ? *** Update *** I have not found any occurances of no matching connection in the log. I am attaching the Junos Pulse client debug log file for reference

Hello, Starting with the IVE OS 8.0, the Junos Pulse for Desktop now supports SAML based authentication http://kb.pulsesecure.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=KB23406 Has anyone had any luck getting this to work on a Mac ? It works like a charm on all our Windows platform devices (Win 7 and Win 8.x), but i have had no luck getting this to work successfully on a Mac (OS X Mavericks and Yosemite). The Way Juniper implemented the SAMl sign-in feature is to lauch a new browser window (IE on Windows and Safari on Mac), to get an authentication token from the SAML Identity Provider, and then transfer control back to the Junos Pulse client. The problem we are having is, on Mac OS machines, once a authentication token is received, the browser window never transfers control back to the Junos Pulse Desktop application. Just wondering if there is anyone out there who has gotten this to work successfully. Thanks in advance. Madan Sudhindra

The RSA Adaptive Authentication Adapter (adapters-juniper-aa webapp), needs to be accessible from the user's device. There is a redirect to this URL and this url actively collects the device prints and if necessary front-ends the step-up authentication.

Pulse on iOS 7 seems to skew the initial login pages - specifically, we have noticed that the pre-logon notice, and the page to enter the login credentials seem to be stretched out and not resized correctly, based on screen resolution. Post login, the app seems to work fine.

We would like to use the Pulse client with our RSA Adaptive Auth infrastructure as well ! It works well on the mobile devices, but breaks on the Windows and Mac versions of Pulse, even the very latest version that is distributed with IVE OS 7.4R1. The fallback is to use Network Connect. When we contacted our RSA reps on this topic, they mentioned that "Juniper was unresponsive when they asked for info to hook AA into Pulse", but it might just be the case of two large organizations talking to each other. I recently had our Juniper rep enter a Enhancement Request for us for getting AA to work with Pulse Mac and Windows, so lets see when they agree to fix the same.

I just tried this on the GM build of OS X 10.8 and I was able to use teh Network Connect client without any issues. We are not using Host Checker profiles, and the SA units are running code v 7.1R4 Cheers, Madan Sudhindra

The latest I heard out of Juniper on delivering this feature is that Juniper is seeing minimal market traction for AA, based on discussions with other customers and partners. The feature continues to be a roadmap feature with no commitment as other feature development takes priority

Hello All, Is there any way we can change the TCP MSS size on the Juniper SA series appliances ? Currently, I only see an option to change the MTU size, but there seems to be no way to tweak the MSS size, from the GUI. Thanks, Madan Sudhindra

Unfortunatey, there is no way to get this to work with the Pulse client on a Mac or Windows system, without having to launcha webpage to authenticate first. Network Connect and the Pulse client for IOS and Android work fine,when the defender-mobile-webkit.thtml file is edited.
