We also have this issue. For some reason the Network Connect adapter won't accept the DHCP option for domain name. This would the populate the DNS suffix field. The Windows Firewall uses the DNS suffix of the network adapter to determinei which firewall policy to implement. When connected via Network Connect the firewall remains up because this DNS suffix isn't popluated. This causes issues when you need to remotely administer a user's PC while they are connected via Network Connect.

We just purchased two SA-700s and I have noticed that password management is not an option using these boxes, is this a licensing issue? Our Juniper account team is saying this isn't supported, but in the Help on the box it references a license requried: UPG-Password Management Integration License We really need password management on these boxes. Why wouldn't this be supported? Are there any work arounds?

We are having a simliar problem with one of our Vista clients. Whenever he fires an RDP session while using Network Connect it drops his NC session. We do not use WSAM. We do not allow split tunneling.

I am wondering if there is a difference in the Network Connet load times between the different appliances? We have a SA-1000 and the load times seem to be slow. We aren't using Cache Cleaner or Host Checker. We have udp port 4500 open and have ESP with AES/MD5 set. Does the SA-2000 or SA-2500 perform better? How about the SA-700?

Has anyone gotten WSAM to run on a Motorola Q with Windows Mobile 5.0? I have tried but it doesn't seem to work. It appears to lockup. I have tried downloading the client directly on to the phone and then clicking the start button on the IVE home page. I have also just tried clicking the start button without the WSAM cab file installed. Neither seems to work. Is this not a supported platform? We are running IVE 5.5R5. From the supported platforms guide it would seem it was supported: What am I missing? Thanks for validating that for me. I was able to get a 5.2 client from support to test with. I loaded the 5.2 client on a box and connected to our current 5.3 box. I found the same to be true. The client auto-installs. Even if you have a shortcut pointing to the 5.2 client, the software recognizes that it has already downloaded and installed the 5.3 and uses it instead

I have found a Java Client for Windows Mobile (http://www2s.biglobe.ne.jp/~dat/java/project/jvm/ index_en.html). I am wondering, is there a way to enable Java on Windows Mobile clients? I have tried changing the configuration for Windows CE clients to Standard HTML but this just seems to disable access to the home page all together. Probably because it is now trying to download an Active-X control or something. Any ideas on how to get this to work? We would like to be able to fire up a JICA application we have published on the homepage from Windows Mobile devices.

I am trying to determine prior to our upgrade to 5.5R5 if users will be prompted to install a new version of network connect or if it will just auto install the product. We are sending out a user notice and I would like to include some screen shots of what the upgrade process will look like to minimize Help Desk calls. I have been looking around for an old 5.2 NC package to try and emulate a similar upgrade but can't find one. Can anyone answer my question, post screen shots, or attach a 5.2 NC installer package?
