I know most online speed testing sites are not necessarily 100% accurate, however my results are fairly consistent. If I complete a speed test over my home ISP I usually get around 30 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up. Now if I connect to my corporate VPN, using network connect and then run a speed test I am consistently seeing roughly 20 Mbps down and 6 Mbps up. I have tried this across multiple ISP's from other employees and am noticing the same results. Oddly enough when I complete the same testing over my MAC the numbers are a lot closer to my non network connect speeds.   I even had one user who is on DSL with 1.5mb service getting fairly close to advertised speeds when doing a speedtest, and then when running a speedtest after making a VPN connection back to us was down around dial-up modem speeds. Most of our remote devices are 64-bit Windows 7 laptops.   Has anyone else experienced this? We are running MAG-4610's, code level 7.3R4.1 and ESP transport with AES256/SHA1.   Thoughts? ... We a tool monitoring certain applications performance. Our entire site is being rewritten by a Juniper SSLVPN running the latest code of 6.3. For example we have a web application that runs on java that is seeing high latency when being rewitten by the SSL VPN. If I turn off the rewrite on that applications URL and just redirect to the target webserver the latency is improved by 100's of miliseconds. When it is being rewritten end users can drastically notice a difference of how poor the application responds. Any ideas? ... View more

Here is the situation we are running into: We have an application that installs and launches from a website via an ActiveX control. Now the current design of the SVW/SSL VPN is if the ActiveX control and application is installed outside of the SVW then when a user is brought into the SVW it will function as expected. My problem is what if the application has NO possible way of being installed outside of the SVW. So now the problem I have had since one of the 5.5 releases (yes this did work at one time with the SVW). All of our employees are brought into the SVW if they access our Employees Section of our website from a "non company" computer aka their home PC, public PC, etc. This application they need to use has never been installed outside of the SVW environment on their home PC and cannot be accessed unless they are in our Employee's section and inside the SVW. When they go to launch it from inside the SVW is does not load, etc, and does not work. So a long story short the application is 100% unusable for out 800+ employees. Another spin on this is lets say we have a user that goes to a conference and they need to use this application. There is no way we would want that applciation to remain installed on a public conference PC. So it makes sense to have them come into the SVW install the application and then run the application. On sporadic Vista OS machines when a user is brought into the SVW they are not brought to the login page, instead they arebrought to the Remediation page. Anyone else seeing this? All of my XP machines are AOK. First thought is was some type of AV Security suite causing a problem, but I have working and non working Vista machines running the same security suites. Thoughts? ...
