One of the confusions with our users using Network Connect is that they sometimes "forget" they're still connected to the VPN network and try browsing to other websites, which will be challenged by the corporate proxy server. Is there a way to display the status window (just like you'd right click on NC icon in the taskbar and open the status window) automatically soon after the NC client is launched so they are aware that they're still connected to the VPN network? I believe this is the default behavior for Mac client, can we get it to work the same way for Windows as well? Thanks Srini

In our deployment, Network Connect is launched automatically when users login to SSL-VPN. The landing web page is also displayed, which contains links to bookmarks, RDP etc. Suppose the user closes the landing page,, they lose the ability to get back to it again. On Win XP, there is a feature to launch a browser and go back to the SSL-VPN landing page (by clicking on the NC taskbar). However, this is broken for Windows Vista and above and we cannot rely on that. My question is, has anyone found a way to get the users back on the landing page if they close it down by mistake or even intentionally? Thanks Srini

There was a problem related to hosted java applets that was introduced in 6.1 R4 (thanks to those QA folks) - you might be running into this. 6.1 R5 fixes this problem but might break a few other things ;) Attached is the release notes document for R5 (see issue #22). -Srini

Sure you can. Using OpenSSL, generate a key pair, get your public key signed by a CA (or use a self signed one), and go to "Configuration -> Certificates -> Device Certificates -> Import Certificate and Key" and import the key file and certificate file (these are stored separately). The commands look something like this: openssl genrsa -des3 -out "C:\temp\codesign.key" 2048 openssl req -new -key "C:\temp\codesign.key" -out "C:\temp\codesign.csr" You can use codesign.csr to get a signed cert. Raul, I'm not sure I fully understand what you're asking for, but this might help you. If you need to know all the variables names/values that an application requires, one of the ways to extract that information is to access the application directly (outside of SSL VPN) using a web browser as an end user and submitting the form. You will need to have an add-on application such as ieHttpHeaders installed (Firefox has a built-in feature "Live HTTP Headers") on your IE browser that can dump out the "name=value" pairs while you login to the application. So considering the example URL you mention above, the post policy would look something like this: User label |Name |Value |User modifiable example1 | sample | value1 | NOT MODIFIABLE Please let me know if your question was something different. Network Connect stores its previous connection information at the following location for Windows platform: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Juniper Networks\Network Connect 6.1.0\versionInfo.ini (substitue the proper version of your NC install in the path) I was able to manipulate the versionInfo.ini file (parameter URL_0) to prepopulate the required URL to use for logging in. Trying to do a Remote SSO form post for a web based application through ans SA6000. The application expects username, password (both dynamic and populated by the IVE) and a third field which has a static value. This static parameter begins with a special character: /wEPDwULLTE2MDU5NTQ3NTQPZBY The IVE is replacing the "/" with %2F thereby throwing off the application. I tried to escape the character with \ but to no avail). Is there any way to tell IVE to not mess with the static value and pass it as is? Thanks Srini
