We're using vTM to load balance an active/active Pulse Secure PSA5000 cluster. I used the Wizard in vTM to create the load balacing. I'm trying to figure out how to get the vTM to pass the original user IP address to the PSA5000 cluster (among other services). We can't use the IP Transparency due to needing to set the device's default gateway to the vTM (since that's also an active/active cluster). I didn't see an option in the wizard to have it do that. Can someone walk me through specific steps to add the x_forwarded_for header to the https traffic bound for the PSA5000s? I've seen a few older posts similar in nature but nothing that seemed to match exactly what I'm looking at.

I've been asked to set up access to the radius servers through the vTM. I don't see radius (1812) or radius accounting (1813) in the predefined setups, so I set them up as Server First. The primary issue is that the monitoring doesn't allow you to provide the shared secret to the radius server, so it's refusing the connections from the vTM for monitoring. Anyone try this before? Maybe I should just use ping to monitor the server, but then if there was a problem with the radius service, the vTM wouldn't know about it and would continue to feed radius requests to the destination.

I just opened a support ticket for this. I haven't been able to find any bug info regarding this (other than this and another forum post). I'm hoping it's been corrected in 9.1R12, but I'm not seeing it in the list of bug fixes in the release notes.

After a bit, the pool is giving me errors. I need to verify with the server team that it is functioning. Node 72.240.104.29:22: Passive monitoring detected an error: Read error. I'm trying to set up load balancing on a pair of ServU ftp/sftp servers. I used the wizard to do the FTP portion, but does anyone know how I can do the same for SFTP (as opposed to FTPS)? SFTP uses port 22 (SSH). I don't see either one of these options when trying to select a service for the virtual server.

Last week we upgraded our PSA3000 devices from 9.1R4 to 9.1R8.2. We have two units configured in an active/active cluster. Before the upgrade, users were pretty well balanced over the two devices. After the upgrade, one device has anywhere from 2 to 4 times as many users as the other. I don't know if this is a problem with the PSA3000 code, or an issue with the vTM (vADC) load balancer. I also noticed that the PSA no longer identifies a user's Windows version when the 9.1.8 client is attached. This was a nice feature under 9.1.4.

I need to turn off the ability to Allow saving logon information on my user's clients. I created a new Pulse Secure Client Connections set that has the box unchecked, but how do I apply that to my users? This is our first installation of PS and I've been muddling my way through so far with very little in the way of instructions. Users have been able to use the PS client to VPN into the network but I need to get this turned off.

We recently set up our first Pulse Secure device (PSA3000). It's on v9.1.4. I'm trying to get it set up so that my team can do administrative functions when logged in with thier Active Directory username. I have LDAP/AD set up - that's not an issue. All users utilize thier AD accounts to connect. What I need is for my team to be able to log into the administrative page and perform admin functions. Everything I have tried so far does not work. Does anyone know if this can be done, and if so, how? Right now I'm the only one that can log in, because I have a local account created to allow it, and using a shared account is against company security policies.
