We have the Pulse Secure Application Launcher in use (PulseApplicationLauncher.exe). I have no idea if it is part of the Pulse app or something custom in the setup, but this app is opening a port-forward level VPN connection for us and editing the windows hosts file using a process called jsamtool.exe. This all works nice'n'dandy when running Oracle Java 1.8. But since its updates have been discontinued for business use, we try to get this working with AdoptOpenJDK. It does not run out of the box but with a simple registry edit of: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.8]
"RuntimeLib"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\AdoptOpenJDK\\jre-126.96.36.199-hotspot\\bin\\client\\jvm.dll" With this setup it opens the application but does not run the jsamtool and thus does not edit the hosts file. I have traced the process with ProcessExplorer but there is no hint it would even try to do that. Anyone else having the same issue or knows how to proceed fixing it?
