I believe my situation is unique atleast I hope not, maybe someone in the community have tried this or seen it. We have a Juniper SA6500 with a web application profile setup for access to a particular app. and users can login fine and work within the app. but when they try to scan documents into the app. from local scanner connected to their PC "it works if they are VPN`d in" it fails when accessing app. from web profile with a 404 error. We did a capture of the process and it seems that the app. is using a activex control script and is trying to post to the URL for the app. "which is the URL for Juniper" and it fails with 404 error code everytime. Have anyone done this before or know if it is even possible to do this? Thanks.

This setup was in place before I arrived. Never got a good reasoning as to why it was configured that way. The engineer who was respopnsible for the SA is no longer here and he was the one that told me the licenses are not shared.

Thanks red! ok, I understand they add up but I think I should have phrase my question a little different. Our setup is a little strange we are in Active/Active mode but not using a loadbalancer so only one box is used at a time. My question should have been do I get to use the 700 add up licenses on a single box even in Active/Active mode.

I have two SA6500 in cluster mode with 350 licenses each. I know the licenses are no shared in cluster mode Active/Active but I would like the community take on if it is better to go Active/Passive and utilize all licenses or is Active/Active better? Also does it count against your license when the SA is proxing i.e.... web links? Thanks!

Thanks SVK! The backend application is web base and will be using AD to authenticate users. Users will have the same AD credentials for SA login so I was thinking form post should work. I have not done this before so I am not sure. I will be testing this in lab but wanted some feedback from community going into this test.

I am looking for documentation on how to configure SSO for a backend application which will require the same credentials as AD for user login. Users will authenticate through the SA and should be automatically login to application without having to click on a bookmark. First thing, is this possible and could someone point me to the relevant documentation. Thanks.

I am configuring SA6500 for Citrix access and we have a large Citrix Server Farm I am wondering if it is possible to use a subnet like 172.24.1.0/24:80,1494,2598 under Resource Profile -> MetaFrame Servers. I can list each Server seperate but it would be a whole lot simplier if I could just list the subnet instead. Thanks.

I am taks with allowing access to citrix server through Netconnect and was wondering if I have to allow Servers in both Resource Policies -> Terminal Services and Resource Policies -> VPN for user to access the Citrix Servers through a Citrix Icon on their desktop. Or can I use Resource Policies -> Terminal Services for the Citrix Servers and Resource Policies -> VPN to allow them access to DNS, AD, Bigfix, etc...

Thanks! I got it working, besides the submit button there was other post info on the page I had to enter. Thanks again. I have one other question concerning the redirected login page. I am seeing a logut button both for the site and Juniper. Is there anyway to not show the Juniper log out button. I have check documetnation and SA itself and do not see a way to do this.

Thanks! I am seeing the policy applied and have look at the dsrecord and used the values there, tried every combinations and still cannot get SSO to work. Hi All We have two 6500 clustered where several hundreds user terminate VPN tunnels. We would like to only allow authorized devices access. I believe endpoint security is how to do this but not sure how to configure this. We would like to check for certificate on the system and allow/deny base on if cert is on system or not. Can someone direct me to documentation that provide configuration or if anyone has done this in production can you share how you configure this. Thanks.

I have SSO form POST configured and link setup under Users > User Roles > roleName > General > UI Options, custom start page. When I log in it does take me to the page but login credentials are not pass along to the login page of the application. I can get the redirection fine no problem when I login but no form post. I am using local system for authentication and the remote application is also configured to use the same username and password. Unders SSO Form POST details I have Post to URL configured with the login page of the application and as the post values I have name I got form the site source as strUsername and value as username strPassword and value as password. Not sure if this is correct way to do it but the help page is not much help in that area.
