If i configure my pool with a host name e.g. server1.mysite.com how long will traffic manager cache the DNS reponse? Does vTM support SRV records? i want to integrate traffic manager with consul for my dynamic backend containers and would like vTM to override the TTL so that it can re-resolve the dns records every x secs

Hello I am looking for solution guide on how to deploy GLB across two Dataceter locations using anycastDNS. something similar to what we had working with F5 https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_gtm/manuals/product/gtm-implementations-11-1-0/11.html any tips ?thanks

Hello All I have setup LDAP Authentication for my Traffic Manager and it works fine, the users can log in with LDAP user credentials. However, c urrently all LDAP Users who log into the Traffic Manager are given p ermission as defined in ldap!fallbackgroup setting (Admin, demo,monitor etc) Can any give tips on how i can assign that permission group within LDAP itself so that users log in with the desired group permission and not the l dap!fallbackgroup thank you

Our Switches do not support Multicast so Active - Active is not an option We want to deploy Active - Passive. It seems very straight forward from the manual (add both TM in cluster and mark one as passive) My questions is for 'keeptogether' option: Is it necessary to have the traffic IP group containing two IP addresses; the front end IP address for incoming traffic, and a back end IP address that resides on the server side network? I'm not sure how to " Configure each back end server to route all traffic via the back end IP address you configured in the traffic IP group" - as per user guide. My testing seems to work without the back end IP address and just the single Traffic IP address Merci

I have a Traffic Manager on 10.30.20.x and want to add several more services on port 80, so it appears the best option is to add Traffic ip groups and have each of the new services on its own VIP. However i range of IP i got assign are in 10.30.27.x , a different subnet When i attempt to add new Traffic ip group with a ip address on a different subnet i get the error: "Cannot find ethernet card suitbale for IP address ...." So My question is can i added traffic ip address from a different subnet , what must i configure to allow this . OR must i move my virtual appliance to the other subnet?

please help, i have vnc service on a backend node over port 5900, i setup service on traffic manager over port 3, and keep getting refused connecting when trying to access VNC service over traffic manager port 3. ive various internal protocol, TCP and generic streaming etc with no luck. what am i doing wrong?

im looking to use traffic ip ( Multi-hosted IP Module )but having trouble on my ubuntu server. when following these instructions i got this: "You are running kernel version: 3.8.0-23-generic The Stingray Traffic Manager kernel modules are supported on kernel versions 2.6.11 to 3.2.0 inclusive. Please install a supported kernel and try again." is there any alternatives to downgrading my kernel ?
