I am attempting to configure LDAP user authentication and was wondering if having multiple Stingray permission groups would require multiple Active Directory groups. Or is it configurable within the Stingray Authenticators section of the UI to have some people who share the same AD group to reside in different permission groups. We are currently using local users. For example, there are 2 groups in AD, group 1 are all admins, but within AD group 2 different people have need for different permissions so they are in different permission groups on the Stingray. While attempting to cluster 2 new Stingray traffic managers I receive this error. "There was a problem communicating with machine X:9080. The hostname X could not be resolved into an IP address." DNS is set up and when I used the wizard to cluster them I did so based on the IP address, the name X showed up in the running traffic manager even though I found it based on IP. I am able to see the 2nd traffic manager in the cluster but the primary traffic manager cannot send traffic to it. ... View more

We are upgrading our traffic manager solution. We have new hardware and VMs and have installed a new version of Stingray Traffic Manager. We want to port over the traffic ips, virtual servers, pools, monitors etc. But we want to retain the new traffic managers System Networking IPs, hostname, DNS etc. Is there a way to take a backup of the old traffic manager and import it to the new one without erasing the Networking section? If the new one takes on the old traffic manager's host IP can we restore the new IP to the traffic manager? Will there be a conflict between the two(becuase they have the same IP) until that time? ... View more
