em_platinum, By the way which one is better for Apple devices: Junos Pulse or Network Connect...?? Currently our users can not log to ssl using web browser... What has to be configured and possibly where to get the Network Connect working? I would like to deploy it automatically when successfully authenticated. Thanks, Dom

em_platinum, I have figured it out. I have locked the access down using Users ->Resource Policies -> Access Control only to one server which is not my DNS... I have added: tcp://X.X.X.X:53 udp://X.X.X.X:53 tcp://X.X.X.Y:53 udp://X.X.X.Y:53 Where X.X.X.X and X.X.X.Y are the ip addresses of my primary and secondary DNS server and everything started working. Thanks a lot for you help.

The DNS setting looks correct Users->Resource Policies->Connection Profiles->"VPN"->DNS Settings->Manual DNS Settings: I have configured Primary Secondary DNSes DNS, domain & WINS As I said it works when I connect via Junos Pulse from iPhone/iPad There is actually no configuration done in Split-tunnelling Networks tab so not too sure if I use split tunneling or not. Sorry I'm quite new to this... The MBAir receive the correct ip address form the pool configured on IVE, it has correct DNSes but still can not ping using names...

Hello guys, Was wondering if anyone came across this issue at all. I have installed the Junos Pulse app on MAC air and it connects fine but when trying to access anything using names it doesn't do anything. When app installed on iPhone/iPad the VPN tunnel is created automatically in phone/ipad settings but it doesn't create anything at MAC.... Any ideas?

Hi zanyterp, For some reason I can not see Network Connect under Users>User Roles>roleNameForiPhone>Genera at all. I'm using firmware version 7.4R8 Where would it be as I have exactly the same problem when connecting from iPhone using Junos Pulse. Thanks, Dom

I have found there the problem is but not too sure how to fix it. The problem is when logging in to the primary box the Windows Secure Application Manager is started automatically (see attached) but when logging to the backup box it won't start. It's probably because I'm logging in using a different policy. Do you guys know where can I find the place within the policy configuration where I can force it to be started?

Hi Jay, Thanks for your reply. I have just tried to upgrade the box to firmware 8.0R1.1 and still the same. The network connect is sucessfully upgraded to version 8.0 and it works. The connection to citrix server works when using IE11. After I have downgraded it to version 10 can not connect (same eeror message). I have removed all the apps installed when connecing to SSL for the first time (full list attached) and rebooted the PC. I have installed everything from the scratch following the instructions delivered by vpn box (Juniper ActiveX, Citrix online pluggin) and still the same. I have installed brand new OS Win8.1 64 bit IE10 (no need to downgrade) and still the same... once connected to citrix when trying to lunch any of the published apps the error message attached in the previuosu post... Any ideas?

Hi Guys, Was wondering if anyone came across the issue I'm experiencing currently. We are having 2 x SA 4500 confoigured for the cluster with firmware version 6.5R1 whis is working fine but not with IE11 nad Win8 & Win8.1. Now we would like to upgrade it to the newest recomended version which is 7.4R8 but would like to test it first. So I have taken the backup box from the cluster and configure it for standalone. Upgrade it to 7.4R8 and copied the config from the primary box for testing purposes. I have build 3 PC with Win7, Win8 & Win8.1 all x64 IE11. What I have seen so far that Network Connect agent is being istalled sucessfully. Even if the old version has been previously installed (6.5) the new one (7.4) will be installed on the top of it and it works. When trying to conect to one of the published citrix apps without istalling Network Connect, will have to install Citrix online plugin first so I can see the published apps and then once clicked on the published app the Juniper Citrix Services Client will be installed and the app will start but only when using IE11. When I downgrade it to IE10 I'm having problems. When click on published apps the installation doesn't start and the following error message is poping up (attached). Any ideas? Is the 7.4R8 compatible with IE10, 9 and 8 at all?

Hello Guys, My SSL VPN box went down this morning. There was no activity light on the internal interface at all when the power light for the box itself was green. I have re-plugged the cable from internal to external just to check the link and the lights started flashing on the external interface. Plugged it back in to internal - no lights. The reboot fiexed the problem but would like to know what caused it. Screenshot attached:

Hi guys, I'm having similar issue and was wondering if I can connect it to this subject. I'm testing new SSL VPN 4500 firmware 7.4R8 as we planning to upgrade from 6.5R1 soon (I have two separate boxes). I have build 3 PC (Windows 7 64bit IE11, Windows 8 64bit IE10, Windows 8.1 64bit IE11). Can connect to ssl box from each PC but for some reason when trying to access one of the citrix published applications from Windows 8 IE10 it does't ask to install Juniper Citrix Client Services like it does on two other PC. The caching policy is on the box. Any other ideas? Will try to update to IE11 but still would like to get it working on IE10. Any ideas?? Thanks, Dom

Hi flip_pipe, I have tried to configure it but I can't see any option to test it unless I set up the time and watch the logs on ftp server... Also is there an option to set up a port number of ftp server? When I put it as X.X.X.X:2121 for example it doesn't like that. It's only accept the IP address without the port number. How do I check the logs on ssl box to see if it tries to send anything to ftp server at all. Thanks, Dom

Thanks a lot SVK. I have managed to get it working. Had to create a new profile as our old RSA server was not compatible with the Junos Pulse app and authentications handled by LDAP now. One more time thatnk a lot.

Hi Bobj, Thanks a lot for your post and link. Has the firmware on both boxes be the same before configuration? It's little bit old and what I would like to do is to upgrade the firmware on the second box to the newest version, then configure it for the DR (if possible), take the primary box down so it can failover to the backup box, upgrade the firmware on the primary box to the same ver. as backup box and plug it back in. Will this work? Also when migrating from standalone to DR is the any downtime required? The primary box is up and running and would like to start creating the cluster, the problem is i/m not sure if this is not going to introduce any downtime?

Hello Guys, We have Juniper SSL VPN 4500 box and 2 x Juniper SSG550M Firewalls. Both firewalls are configured fir DR with NSRP (Active/Passive). Once you update configureation on one box its automatically syncchronised with the other box which is working great. Tthe Juniper SSL box is configured and working fine. We have recently purchased another SSL VPN 4500 box and would like to configure it for DR as well, like the firewalls. How do you do this? Little update. The subnet where the first SSL box sits has been streched across our network to the secondary Data Centre.
